DOVER, Del. (AP) - The regular duck hunting season in Delaware opens on Friday.

There will be a daily limit of six ducks, excluding mergansers and coots, which have daily limits of five and 15 respectively.

The Division of Fish & Wildlife says the season segment dates for hunting migratory ducks are: Oct. 24 to Nov. 11; Nov. 24 to Nov. 29; and Dec. 12 to Jan. 24.

Officials say most state wildlife areas hold a lottery drawing for waterfowl blinds 90 minutes before legal shooting time.
