stockvector

An ATV driver was hit by a crop duster that tried to land at an airfield in Worcester County yesterday morning.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. when the pilot 25-year-old Christopher Bunting attempted to land his aircraft.

The pilot was not injured but 23 year-old Drew Eckman of Berlin was taken to the Atlantic Hospital with minor injuries.

WBOC reports that Eckman told police he had just finished an inspection of one of the aircraft and was driving his ATV on the runway when he noticed the aircraft attempting to land.

He said that he tried to get out of the way but was hit and thrown from the vehicle.
