Dog Park Delayed in Ocean Pines

That dog park planned for completion this May in Ocean Pines won’t be done until the end of June.

Local residents raised $15-thousand for a place where their canines can play.

Jack Levering, who organized the fundraising effort told the Salisbury Daily Times, that he is not sure why there has been a delay.

He said dog owners estimated that the project would cost $30-thousand and promised to raise half of that if the Association’s Board of Directors matched them.

Board member Ray Unger, who has two small dogs himself, said that the dog park did have the support of the board and expected the park to be built as soon as staff determined its exact cost.
