Disabled Vets Get Break from MVA

Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration

Maryland veterans who are 100 percent disabled will be getting a break from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.

Governor Larry Hogan announced that they will be issued a permanent registration cards and license plate stickers.

And disabled veterans will automatically be receiving their new papers and plate stickers on August 1st.

It’s estimated that this will affect around 52-hundred veterans who are qualified under a determination by the Veteran Affairs Administration.

Prior to this these veterans had to register every two years though free of charge.

WBOC reports that the program was the result of a recommendation by the Motor Vehicles employees and an effort to improve customer service.
