Detours and Street Closures In Dover for Weekend's Firefly Music Festival

Delaware Transportation officials are gearing up for this weekend’s Firefly Music Festival.

DelDOT says it will close Leipsic and Persimmon Tree roads near the Dover International Speedway to through traffic with detours posted along the way.

The closure times will be 1 p.m on Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

All roads will be reopened at the conclusion of the day’s events.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that motorists should use caution while crossing the bridge over Del. 1 because a temporary traffic plan will be in place throughout the weekend.

For those camping out for the event they should use Leipsic Road and check in at the Lot 1 entrance.

Those attending for the day should use the speedway’s main entrances.
