Democratic Hopeful Doug Gansler on Jobs Today
BOWIE, Md. (AP) - Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler is scheduled to talk about a plan to create jobs.
Gansler, who is running in the Democratic primary for governor, is taking his plan to Prince George's County on Wednesday. He is scheduled to hold a roundtable discussion with business owners and workers at Jason's Family Barber Shop in Bowie.
Gansler announced a 30-point plan aimed at creating jobs in the state last week. One of the top proposals includes helping employees save for their own education and retraining through savings accounts. Another would create a program that enables people to get temporary work that involves job training with a potential employer.
