Delmarva Hit by Another Storm

WASHINGTON (AP) - As temperatures dip to single digits around the mid-Atlantic a day after another snowstorm, schools and governments in the region remained closed or delayed opening.

Icy roads are still covered by snow in many areas and transportation officials are warning motorists to be careful.

Delmarvans were shoveling snow yesterday .

In Salisbury Delmarvans said they were tied of the snow:

Meanwhile, after the snow stopped falling Monday night, the roads remained icy and slippery, making conditions unsafe for drivers.

Highway crews on the Eastern Shore and in Delaware were out putting salt and sand on the roads but expect the cold temperatures still kept the roads icy.

About four inches of snow had been expected in New Castle County, and 6 to 8 inches in Kent and Sussex.
