Delmarva Events Delayed or Canceled Due to Weather

While Delmarva is not expected to experience the kind of weather from Hurricane Matthew that has hit Florida events around the peninsula have been canceled or altered due to the expected rain.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Women Supporting Women has called off its annual awareness fundraiser for tomorrow morning because the wet conditions at Winterplace Park.

The organization says it will hold another event on October event at Salisbury City Park.

Meanwhile, Sea Gull Century bike ride has altered its route for Saturday due to flooding conditions.

The paper also reports that the downtown Pocomoke Fall Festival and the Chincoteague Oyster Festival have both has been delayed until October 15th.

The Allen Cemetery Walk and the Cheriton United Methodist Church Fall Bazzar have also been rescheduled.

But the Daily Times also says that the Good Beer Festival at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury this weekend will go on as scheduled as well as the four-day Ocean City’s Endless Summer Cruisin’ that runs through Sunday.
