GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - State officials are gathering in Sussex County to tout the benefits of being in Delaware's great outdoors.

The fourth annual Sussex Outdoors Summit on Monday will include a discussion of new, expanded uses of the Stockley Center, a state-operated facility for individuals with developmental disabilities on 750 acres of state land south of Georgetown.

Officials say a group called the Stockley Collaborative is working to carry out a strategic plan for the Stockley Center and its surrounding land that will benefit the health and wellness of all Delawareans while continuing to support and protect residents with disabilities.

Speakers at Monday's summit include Gov. Jack Markell, Health and Social Secretary Rita Landgraf, and state public health director Dr. Karyl Rattay.
