Delaware State Panel Meets on Setting Up Health Exchanges

DOVER, Del. (AP) - A state panel is getting an update on Delaware's plans to implement a new health insurance exchange being set up under the federal health care reform law.

The Delaware Health Care Commission meets Wednesday afternoon in Dover to receive a presentation on the Affordable Care Act and an update on the implementation of Delaware's health insurance marketplace.

The state will begin enrolling clients in its health insurance exchange in October for coverage effective Jan. 1, 2014.
