Delaware Police Beef Up Presence At Movie Theaters After Shooting in Colorado

With the shooting in a Colorado theater during the showing of the new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises that left 12 people dead and dozens injured Delaware police say they are stepping up their presence at movie theaters with more patrols.

At some of the larger movie theaters in the state police currently have special-duty troopers assigned and contracted by management  for peak hours and big events.

Sgt. Paul Shavack says police are trying to raise the confidence and comfort levels of the movie patrons by increasing law enforcement capabilities.

State police encourage the public to remain attentive, be aware of the surroundings and be on the lookout for any suspicious activity that they might see.
