SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - An ex-Wicomico County parole officer states in a lawsuit that a co-worker's comments about the rape of one of her relatives by Dr. Earl Bradley created a hostile work environment.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports Rennae Elizabeth Ott filed the lawsuit on Oct. 10, claiming violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The lawsuit states that officials forced Ott to resign after denying her request to be transferred out of the Salisbury field office.

The lawsuit states Ott developed post-traumatic stress disorder after learning one of her relatives had been assaulted by Bradley.

It further states that a co-worker claimed Ott was "unfit" to handle child abuse cases due to her contact with the Bradley case, that the co-worker taunted Ott and that supervisors didn't do anything about it.
