Delaware Gets Federal Early Childhood Education Grant

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Federal officials say Delaware's Department of Education has been awarded a $1.4 million grant for early childhood education.

The Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday that the Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership grant will allow 72 more children to take part in Early Head Start.

The grants are intended to encourage collaboration between Early Head Start grantees and child care providers.

Infants and toddlers in the new program will receive caregiving their physical, cognitive and social development.
