Delaware to get Second Medical Marijuana Facility

creative commons

It looks like Delaware could be getting its second medical marijuana dispensary in the next few weeks.

It will be located just outside of Lewes and would serve more than 500 licensed patients in Sussex County.

The new facility First State Compassion Center South is owned by retired state trooper Mark Lally who also owns the other operation near Wilmington.

Critics say this still not comply with the state that law requires all three counties to have facilities.

There was an unsuccessful lawsuit that challenged Lally’s monopoly on the dispensaries.

Critics have complained about of the limiting of pre-packaged products as well as the varying quality of the medical marijuana.
