Delaware Gas Prices Edge Downward

DOVER, Del. (AP) - AAA Mid-Atlantic says drivers in Delaware and across the country are catching a break on gasoline prices with some of the lowest average retail prices at the pump since mid-March.

According to the auto club's weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of gas in Delaware has fallen to $3.42. That's down 3 cents a gallon since last weekend. It's also down 21 cents a gallon compared with the beginning of August last year when Delaware drivers were paying $3.63 per gallon.

The national average on Friday was $3.52 per gallon.

AAA says U.S. refineries are running near their highest production rates since 2005. AAA says conflicts between Ukraine and Russia and between Hamas and Israel have not yet impacted global oil supplies.
