Delaware Firefighters Honor Two of Their Fallen

Firefighters will be honoring two of their own in Wilmington who died in a townhouse fire.

The blaze also left four others injured two still in critical condition.

The funerals for firefighters Christopher Leach and Jerry Fickes are set for this weekend.

Lewes Fire Chief Gordon Davis told WBOC that members of his department will attend the memorial services along with other local departments.

Sussex County Emergency Medical Services will also be on hand to attend the funeral while others will help out by responding to calls in the area.

Davis said noted that the two had recently attended the funerals of two other firefighters who died during a training exercise.
