Delaware Attorney General Wants Say In Funding For Childrens Hospital

Delaware State Attorney General Beau Biden says he wants in on the reorganization of the $4.6 billion Florida Trust that funds AI du Pont Hospital for Children that is headed to court

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the trust has poured millions of dollars into Delaware…through Nemours Foundation to care for sick children and the elderly.

Biden said that he wants to ensure that this flow of funds continues.

The reorganization is being carried out for tax purposes and administrative convenience.

The State Attorney General said that so far those funds should continue under the new plan but he added he wanted to make sure that the intent of Alfred I du Pont who established the trust to care for disabled children and the elderly is maintained.
