WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Attorney General Matt Denn is eyeing changes to Delaware's criminal justice system.

Denn, who took office in January, was set to unveil a series of proposed reforms Thursday in a speech to the Wilmington Rotary Club.

Denn's office says some of the proposed reforms would change longstanding positions of the Department of Justice.

Among other things, Denn is looking at ways to be more just and fair toward some non-violent and repeat offenders, while maintaining efforts to close what he says are loopholes in Delaware's gun crime laws.

The proposals also include ideas on changing how juveniles are treated by the criminal justice system.
