Data Centers LLC based in Pennsylvania is looking at building a message date storage and management facility in Newark that could create over 300 jobs mostly in the technology sector.
The 900-thosuand square foot building would house computer servers and offices in the western corner of the former Chrysler assembly plant.
CEO Gene Kern told the Wilmington News Journal that the company expects to break ground this summer with the first phase of construction taking a year or more to complete.
He told the paper that the facility would have around 290 full-time jobs…with another 50 part-time positions.
The company plans to invest more than $1 billion on the project.
