Crisfield Sting Operation Nets 41 on Drug Charges

There have been 41 arrests in a year-long undercover operation against drug trafficking in Crisfield.

Police Chief Michael Tabor the arrests were made by more than 100 hundred officers from the town and other law enforcement agencies.

WBOC reports that a deep undercover officer was able to buy heroin and opioids from a number of dealers throughout the town.

He said that many of those transactions were caught on video.

Mayor Kim Lawson said that the number of arrests were staggering for a community of only 27-hundred.
