Crisfield has a new mayor.
He’s Kimberly Lawson who racked up an overwhelming 216 votes over his challenger Irving Saltz who only picked up 43 votes.
There are still 36 provisional and absentee votes to be counted.
Lawson, who is currently on the city council, told the Salisbury Daily Times that he looked forward to developing projects for the city noting that he had lived in Crisfield all of his life.
He replaces outgoing mayor Percy Purnell who decided to retire form city polices.
