Could Dover Be Cycling Friendly?

Don Rush

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Officials in Dover are ready to find out whether Delaware's capital city is truly bicycle friendly.

Gov. Jack Markell planned to join city officials on Thursday to announce the results of the city's Bicycle Friendly Community application.

Dover officials recently submitted the application to the League of American Bicyclists, hoping to be designated as a community that welcomes bicyclists by accommodating cycling and encouraging people to bike for transportation and recreation.
