Cold Winds Blow

BLACKSGURG, Va. (AP) - An arctic cold front is set to sweep into Virginia, bringing dangerously cold wind chills.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind child advisory through tomorrow morning in parts of southwest Virginia.

Temperatures are expected to be in the teens to lower 20's and then drop into the single digits tonight. Wind chill values could be 5 -to-10 degrees below zero.

Meanwhile, here on Delmarva expect the temperatures to drop down into the mid-teens tonight with some gusty winds. By tomorrow night expect freezing rain for the weekend.

The cold snap is affecting much of the country. Thee Climate Prediction Center expects below-normal temperatures this weekend and into Monday across the entire northern half of the U.S.
