Closing In on Fundraising Goal For Nursing School in Delaware

Nursing, 123rf.com

The Beebe Medical Foundation is within striking distance of its $8-million fundraising goal for the expansion of Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Medical Center.

It has less than $785-thousand left to go.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the expansion would replace the two-story building constructed in the 1960’s with a 3-story 18-thousand square-foot structure.

The new facility would house modern classrooms and clinical laboratories.

It would also would double the maximum of 30 enrolled students each year.

The paper reports that the school is the only hospital-based nursing program in Delaware and is recognized by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
