Clean Up After Snow Storm

Don Rush

The Maryland state highway crews were out yesterday cleaning up the roadways after this weekend’s snow storm.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that authorities say there were fallen trees that forced the closure of the Salisbury Zoo. But there was no significant damage to the facility’s buildings.

Some power outages were also reported due to the downing of power lines.

The paper reports one outage in Fairmount lasted 8 hours.

For residents of Salisbury the city is offering free bulk pick up of yard waste.

The storm did cause the Whitehaven Ferry to close on Saturday while the Upper Ferry did remain open.

Meanwhile, more snow is expected at the end of the week.
