Christine O'Donnell Takes Stand in Lawsuit

Former Republican Senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell took the witness stand in a New Castle County courtroom as she fights off a claim by her former aide Jonathon Moseley who says she owes him around $20-thousand for his work.

O’Donnell and her attorney Richard Abbott said that Moseley was obsessed with the candidate.

Outside the courtroom O’Donnell told the Wilmington News Journal and other reporters that during her talks to resolve his financial claims Moseley allegedly said, “If I sue her she’s forced to think about me and at least I’m then in her life.”

But Moseley responded outside the courtroom that he found the charges that he was obsessed with her really sad and betrayed – what he called a kind of high school mentality.

The paper also noted there was a campaign feel to the proceedings with news releases handed out to reporters headlined – O’Donnell Fights Back Against Frivolous Lawsuit From Disgraced Lawyer.

Court of Common Pleas Judge Andrea Rocanelli said she would issue an opinion in the case within 30 days.

After an upset victory in the Republican primary during the 2010 election O’Donnell went on to lose to Democrat Chris Coons
