Christina School District Still Struggling with Mold Problem

Pulaski Elementary School Website

The Christina School Board heard last night that there were still air-quality problems at the Pulaski Elementary School from the mold that was discovered there back in August.

Another round of tests was taken last week but the board decided not to close the school despite the continuing effects from the mold.

Board member Shirley Saffer wanted the school to be temporarily closed while the issue was resolved.

But the Wilmington News Journal reports that the board did approve a resolution to carry out a districtwide survey of the all 31 buildings for air quality.

The paper reports that teachers at the board meeting said they appreciated the progress that was being made but called on member to keep the pressure on to deal with the mold problem.
