The State’s Attorney for Cecil County was arrested last Wednesday by Ocean City police.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that they said Edward Rollins was taken into custody around midnight but did not say what the charges were.
The Kent County News says that 60-year old Rollins is running Cecil County circuit court judge a position once held by his father and grandfather.
The Daily Times reports that Rollins was interested in keep the job in the family and thought his chances were better under a Republican governor Larry Hogan.
Rollins has been State’s Attorney for Cecil County for the last five years.
