Casino Revenues up at Ocean Downs

Revenue is up for the Casino at Ocean Downs.

For the month of May it rose 21 percent over a year ago.
The Maryland Lottery reports that combined revenue from slots statewide totaled $14.5 million.

That’s an increase of $1.2 million from a year ago -- or 9.5 percent.

Ocean Downs took in $4.4 million in May.

Stephen Martino, director of the Maryland Lottery, told the Salisbury Daily Times that it is not clear why there has been an increase and suggested that it may lie with marketing efforts at the casinos.
