Carbon Filtration System Installed in Blades

Don Rush

The town of Blades is beginning to install a carbon filtration system for its water.

It is an attempt to restoring the water to three contaminated wells.

Blades Town Water and Maintenance Supervisor Brandon Slater told WBOC that it was a big relief and the efforts are “going as hard as we can go.”

The carbon is set to be placed into the system by Friday.

After it’s tested the town wells will begin flushing out the system.
