Car Crash Near Milford Leaves 5 Year Old Boy Dead

MILFORD, Del. (AP) - Authorities say a 5-year-old boy was killed in a crash near Milford.
 
Delaware State Police said in a statement Thursday that the crash happened Wednesday night when a Mitsubishi Eclipse turning left near a gas station failed to yield to oncoming traffic. It hit a pickup truck, which then collided with a Ford Fusion.
 
Police say the Mitsubishi driver's 5-year-old son, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say he was properly restrained in a booster seat.
 
The Mitsubishi driver was taken to a hospital, but police did not have details on his injuries. The driver of the Ford was treated at a hospital and released.
 
The pickup truck driver and his passenger were not injured.
