Officials say there has been a data breach at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry that could put customers’ credit and debit card information at risk.

Cards used between September 20, 2013 through August 7th of this year for food, beverage and retail sales on the ferries and at the terminals could be affected.

A statement from officials says that the malware used in the breach has been eliminated and that payment security has been improved.

The information in question includes the card number, the cardholder’s name and or the card’s expiration date.
