Calls for Resignation of Delaware AG and Wilmington Mayor in McDole Shooting

YouTube

The family of Jeremy McDole who was shot and killed by police while he was in a wheel chair are calling for the resignation of Delaware Attorney General Matt Denn and Wilmington Mayor Dennis Williams.

At a rally outside police headquarters in Wilmington on Saturday protesters also called for the resignation of police Chief Bobby Cummings.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that some of the protesters shouted “Don’t Shoot Me” at officers who stood watch over the crowd.

Police say that there was a report of man who had shot himself and when they arrived they told McDole to drop the gun.

Police shot and killed him after he failed to get rid of the weapon.

Two months ago the Attorney General said that said his investigation should take a couple of weeks.

There is also a police probe into whether any regulations were violated.
