Caesar Rodney High School Deals with Online Racial Slur on Mascot

social media

There’s a picture on social media that depicts the Caesar Rodney High School mascot holding a piece of paper with a racial slur on it.

WBOC reports that Superintendent Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald said that the district was distressed that the image would be used in such a way.

He said the incident was being investigated adding that there was zero tolerance for this kind of behavior.

Fitzgerald and the principal of the high school have sent out phone message to parents and staff after the image was discovered.

Caesar Rodney High School has more than 19-hundred students.
