Bomb Scare at Delaware Technical and Community College

udel.edu

An anonymous bomb threat forced the evacuation of Delaware Technical and Community College’s Owns Campus in Georgetown yesterday.

Police say they found no explosives after bringing in K-9 unites from Delaware State Police, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, the Worcester county Sheriff’s Office and the US Air Base in Dover.

WBOC reports the dogs sniffed a trashcan in the William Carter building a number of times but the bomb disposal unit found no explosives.

Police declared the area safe at 7:45 p.m.

The investigation is continuing.
