A woman’s body was discovered in a discount store parking lot at around 6 a.m. yesterday in New Castle.

The body found in Hares Corner is described by police as being in her early 20’s.

She was fully clothed.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that police say it appears the body was dumped in the parking lot near BJ's Wholesale Club Store at Airport Plaza Shopping Center.

The paper reports that the authorities did not say anything more about the condition of the body or whether there were any apparent injuries.

Police stressed the investigation is in its early stages.
