Body of Otto Paul Lynch Recovered from Pocomoke River

Department of Natural Resources Website

The body of 63 year-old Otto Paul Lynch has been recovered after going missing during a fishing tournament on the Pocomoke River last weekend.

The Salisbury resident was last seen participating a two-day bass fishing contest when boaters found his empty 19-foot Ranger adrift.

Police took two full days to search the river but was having trouble with their sonar equipment due to the many cypress tree stumps.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the Maryland Natural Resources Police say a medical examiner is en route to the Snow Hill area as police secure the scene.
