Boater Dies On Broad Creek in Talbot County

EASTON, Md. (AP) - Officials are searching for a 76-year-old man who went out rowing on the Eastern Shore and didn't come back.

Maryland Natural Resources Police have been searching Broad Creek in Talbot County for the man, who went rowing on Saturday morning and did not return. Television station WJZ-TV reports the man's boat has been recovered and that he was not wearing a life jacket.

Officials have been using patrol boats, K-9s, divers and sonar equipment to assist in the search. Officials did not release the man's name.
