The Nursing Department at Salisbury University has received $2.1 million in grant money from the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
It’s the largest grant that the nursing department has gotten from the commission.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that it will go for the Nurse Support Program for developing clinical experts for its nursing staff.
Under the Eastern Shore Faculty Academy and Mentoring Initiative the plan was developed by the university and others to increase the diversity of adjunct professors.
The grant will span 5 years.
