Berlin Will Not Be Another Salisbury, Mayor Says

Don Rush

The Town of Berlin could be seeing some larger apartment units go up soon.

The town council has raised the number of units from 12 wide to 36.

But there were worries at Monday’s meeting that this could lead to bigger buildings and damage the small-town look of Berlin.

But Mayor Gee Williams assured those in attendance that Berlin would not become another Salisbury.

The vote revolves around a development by Rinnier Development Company on Seahawk Road that they say will allow for a better design.

Blair Rinnier said only one building would reach the maximum of 36 units while the others would only contain 24.
