A Beer Garden is Coming to Wilmington's Riverfront

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Constitution Yards, a 20,000-square-foot seasonal outdoor beer garden, is coming to Wilmington's Riverfront.

The Wilmington News Journal reports the attraction is being built at Justison Landing Park along the Christina Riverwalk and could open sometime between June 15 and 22.

The beer garden will offer everything from craft beer and frozen cocktails to barbecue and beer cheese fries. There will also be games like corn hole, whiffle ball and bocce.

Officials with the Buccini/Pollin Group, which owns property in the area, hope the beer garden will help attract not only visitors, but people who want to live in the area. BPG senior vice president Michael Hare says the beer garden will "put Wilmington on the map" when it comes to fun things to do.

Constitution Yards will close after Oktoberfest and the Riverfront Rink will return in the winter.
