Beau Biden: Will He Run For Governor?

attorney general's office

Former Attorney General Beau Biden’s retreat from public appearances has raised speculation about whether he will actually take a shot at Delaware’s governorship.

Aides to Biden told the Wilmington News Journal that he still intends on running for government next year.

But Delaware Democrat declined to comment on his own.

In addition, Biden also declined requests from the paper to discuss his new job at a Wilmington law firm managed by top Democratic donor Stuart Grant.

His health has also been part of the speculation.

In August of 2013 Biden suffered from disorientation and underwent an operation to remove a small brain lesion.

Biden’s doctor last February said that the former attorney general was given a clean bill of health in November of 2013.

State Senator Greg Lavelle, a Republican who is considering his own gubernatorial run, told the News Journal that Biden’s absence was “disrespectful” to voters.
