BALTIMORE (AP) - After Freddie Gray's death, Baltimore police vowed to vigorously investigate when officers used force in the field.
But 10 months later, a trial for a man who was shot by police has raised questions about whether the department is following its own policies when investigating officers. Several officers testified recently in a robbery trial.
They said the suspect, Keith Davis, brandished a gun and they fired more than 40 rounds. But they told the jury that they had not been called to give statements to internal investigators after firing their weapons, nor had they written reports required by the department.
