If you get arrested for shoplifting in Easton your picture could wind up on the Facebook page of the Easton Police Department.
Lt. Gregory Wright told WBOC that the department launched the program last month.
All information he says is a matter of public record.
It has become a trend on Delmarva with the police departments in Dover and Salisbury also using the tactic to stop retail theft.
However, civil liberties have expressed concern about the tactic since those who are arrested are not necessarily convicted or in some cases may have the charges dropped.
The page includes the notice that, "Subjects are innocent until proven guilty."
