Allen Harim has a major solar operation up and running in Sussex County.
The panels are spread over a six acre parcel and are now providing power to the company’s poultry processing plant in Harbeson.
Allen Harim says it is now producing 1.5 megawatts of power with nearly 5-thousand panels.
Joe Moran, president and CEO of Allen Harim, told WBOC that the project is expected to supply up to 12 percent of the energy sued at the Harbeson facility.
It is expect to cut carbon dioxide emissions by around 16-hundred metric tons.
