The Patricia Guerrieri Academic Commons on the campus of Salisbury University officially opened yesterday.
It now become the biggest structure on the campus with 221-thousand square feet.
Featuring the school’s library University President Janet Dudley-Eshbach said she wanted this facility to be a place where students could gather, study and learn.
She said, “Today as we open the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons I remain profoundly moved by their generosity which made possible this truly transformational project. Patty was an avid learner and natural researcher, so it is only fitting that her memory will live on though facility that will encourage so many students to explore, to create and to learn.”
Michael Guerrieri, Patricia’s son, told the assembled crowd that his mother would have loved seeing people further their education.
