7-Year Old Boy Found in Wicomico Creek Dies

Seven year old Jyrah Brown who was found unresponsive in a creek near the Wicomico County Tourism Center late last month has died.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that he was found on June 27th in the creek the separates the Center from Leonard’s Mill Park.

His body was found after he went missing during a Dove Pointe summer camp outing.

It was a program for developmentally challenged adults and children.

His sister Jennifer Brown said he died at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C.

The Daily Times reports that the Dove Pointe executive director Donald Hackett said he would not comment while the police investigation was being carried out.
