creative commons

Last night the Salisbury Fire Department reported that around 100 gallons of petroleum fuel spilled onto Snow Hill Road near Airport Road.

WBOC reports that at around 10:49 p.m. fire officials say a truck hit a deer releasing the fuel onto the highway.

Fire officials say that the driver was not injured.

The television station says State Highway Officials put sand over the spill.

Snow Hill Road was closed until 1 a.m.
