(AP) - Maryland lawmakers heard from victims of domestic violence about how several changes in the law would increase protections for them.</p><p>A Senate panel held a hearing on the measures Tuesday. Gov. Anthony Brown is scheduled to discuss domestic violence prevention as part of his campaign for governor.</p><p>Brown and his running mate, Ken Ulman, plan to announce their "Our Path to Zero" proposal to stop domestic violence and sexual assault in Maryland.</p><p>Brown and Ulman will talk about the plan at a press conference Tuesday at the Medical Pavilion at Howard County in Columbia.</p><p>Brown is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor.</p><p>Del. (AP) - The Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence is holding its annual memorial service.</p><p>The 25th memorial service will be held in Annapolis on Monday night.</p><p>The group holds the service to call attention to the problem of domestic violence. It also focuses on changing laws to reduce the problem, improve victim safety and create greater accountability.</p><p>The group says 49 people died in Maryland between July 2011 and June 2012 as a result of domestic violence.
